Who doesn't have a favorite chicken recipe? Who doesn't want a new chicken recipe? Chicken is a very versatile food. It has a great taste and goes with almost anything. Chicken is low in fat compared to other meats. It is a good source of protein in your diet. It can be baked, fried, boiled, grilled, and roasted. Chicken can be added to salads, sandwiches, soups, stews, pot pies, casseroles, Crockpot meals, and pasta meals. Chicken is a very popular food. It is served at many occasions including fast food meals, picnics, parties, and wedding dinners. It can be served at breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, and for snacks.
1 can drained pineapple chunks
1 bottle Yoshida Hawaiian Sweet and Sour Sauce Preheat oven to 375F. Place chicken in a greased pan. Spread pineapple chunks over and around chicken. Cover chicken with Hawaiian Sweet and Sour Sauce. Bake chicken for 45 minutes or until done. Serve with rice and vegetables. Creamy Chicken Pot Pie 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast meat
1 large can of cream of chicken soup
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup milk
1 cup of frozen sweet corn
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
2 cups chopped potatoes
2 cans of refrigerated biscuits Cook chicken in frying pay and cut into cubes. Mix together cream of chicken soup, milk, pepper, potatoes, corn, and mixed vegetables. Pour mixture into a large greased casserole dish. Place biscuits on top of mixture. Bake at 375F for 35 to 40 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and pot pie bubbles. Let cool five minutes. Chicken pizza 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast cut into cubes
1 small can of pineapple chunks, drained
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded 4 cheese Mexican cheese or cheddar cheese
1 can refrigerate pizza crust
1 jar of pizza sauce Cook Chicken in frying pan and cut into cubes. Press pizza crust onto lightly greased pizza pan. Combine drained chunked pineapple, cooked cubed chicken, chopped tomatoes, and pizza sauce in a bowl. Spread mixture evenly over pizza crust. Top with Mexican cheese and mozzarella cheese. Bake in oven at 375F for 12 to 18 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. By Brenda -
What are your favorite low calorie pasta & chicken recipes that utilize spices and/or herbs for flavoring?
To avoid extra fat and calories when flavoring my foods, I try to use herbs and spices instead of sauces, gravies, etc. I'm looking for new ideas, that are quick and easy to prepare for chicken and pasta. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Actually whole wheat pasta is all I eat, and the brand I purchase is delicious. No taste loss at all. :)
