The main ingredients are simple: chicken breasts, flour, eggs, bread crumbs, and parmesan cheese. You can also use a variety of herbs and spices, but the best are basil and oregano. If you already have a generic brand of dried "Italian seasoning, " that will work perfectly.

Begin by lightly salting the chicken breasts and coating them in flour. Next, beat one or two eggs in a shallow pan, and coat the floured chicken breast in the egg mixture. Finally, season your bread crumbs in another pan with your Italian herbs and spices, and coat the breast generously.

Once you've coated all of the chicken breasts you're going to prepare, put a non-stick or cast-iron pan on medium heat and fill it with a thin layer of olive oil. Cook the coated chicken breasts on each side until they have a nice, light, golden-brown crust. Lay them onto a cookie sheet coated thinly with olive oil and generously heap parmesan cheese on top of each one. Put them into a 350 degree oven for 5-10 minutes or until the chicken has been cooked through.

The must-have ingredients for this recipe are boneless, skinless chicken breasts, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Other than that you can add eggs, bean sprouts, and really any kind of vegetable or legume you like.

Begin by placing a wok or large frying pan on medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the sesame oil and chicken pieces and cook them until golden brown. Then, add any vegetables you want and continuously stir the pan's contents so as not to let anything burn. Once the veggies are as soft as you want them, add as much or as little soy sauce as you like. You can also add other exotic ingredients such as fish sauce or black bean sauce to give your stir-fry a nice kick. If you're going to add eggs, put them in last and continue to stir the ingredients until the eggs are cooked.

The best way to serve your stir-fry is over a bed of long-grain rice - jasmine and basmati varieties are best. You can also kick the flavor up a notch by adding raw, fresh ingredients such as cilantro, chopped green onions, and more soy sauce. The uncooked soy sauce you add on top will have a different flavor from the stuff that's been cooked with the chicken, giving the dish a more complex and satisfying taste. Finally, if your grocery budget allows, you can add things you'd find at an Asian market such as dried shrimp or shitake mushrooms.

3. Honey-Lemon Chicken

If you're craving something both sweet and tangy for dinner, honey lemon chicken is one of the best easy chicken breast recipes. The main ingredients for this dish are whole chicken breasts (skinless if you want), lemons, lemon juice, honey, and soy sauce. Of course you'll also need some type of oil - I like canola oil for this recipe because it has a neutral flavor that won't interfere with the lemons and honey.

Begin by heating a non-stick or cast iron pan on medium-high heat with a thin layer of oil. Lightly salt and pepper your chicken breasts and place them into the hot oil. If you are using chicken breasts with the skin still on, make sure you start them with the skin side down. lightly brown the chicken breasts on each side before adding any other ingredients.

Once your chicken is lightly browned, add a half-inch thick layer of lemon juice to the pan. The chicken will begin absorbing the lemon juice as it continues to cook. They will cook slightly and wilt over the breasts, giving them extra lemon flavor. There are a variety of good side dishes for honey lemon chicken, but my favorite is mashed potatoes. If you have time, you can make them yourself from scratch. All you have to do is boil potatoes, mash, and add whole milk, butter, salt and pepper to your liking.
