Weekly Meal Plans are important ways of reducing grocery budgets. Using leftover chicken is a good way to reduce the cost of recipes on your meal plans. Cheap chicken recipes can be added to your weekly meal plans or can become the basis of the entire plan. If you find an excellent sale price, having a variety of cheap chicken recipes means you can eat the well loved meat multiple times without tiring of it. These four cheap chicken recipes can either use leftovers or you can cook the meat for multiple meals if you find that great store sales.
6 Biscuits (Grands type or homemade)
1/3 pound processed soft cheese
1/3 cup chicken broth
1 - 2 cups leftover chopped chicken
Butter

6 Baking potatoes
2 Tablespoons Butter
1 Can Cream of Chicken soup
1 cup parmesan cheese
1-2 cups leftover cubed chicken

2 cups elbow noodles, cooked
2 cups leftover chicken, chopped
2 cans cream of mushroom or chicken soup
.5 pound cheese cut in small pieces
3 chopped hard boiled eggs
2 cups milk

Saute a cup of sliced mushrooms in 4 tablespoons of butter. Add 4 tablespoons of flour, .5 teaspoon of salt and pepper, gradually add 2 cups of milk and cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens. Cut crust from bread, Press into a muffin tin so you have the four corners of the bread sticking out. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Watch for the bread to turn brown. To avoid extra fat and calories when flavoring my foods, I try to use herbs and spices instead of sauces, gravies, etc. I'm looking for new ideas, that are quick and easy to prepare for chicken and pasta. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Actually whole wheat pasta is all I eat, and the brand I purchase is delicious. No taste loss at all. :)
