I buy my chicken wings fresh in bulk at my local Sam's Club. I've tried using the frozen ones, but I really prefer the fresh ones. Our Sam's sells them in approximately five pound packages. I used to think that was a lot, but now I buy two packages. I still never have any leftovers!
My buffalo chicken wing recipe is probably my most popular. Buffalo wings can be tricky, because some like them mild and some like them super hot. I make the sauce on the stove and then adjust the heat to taste. You can even make some extra spicy and leave some milder and sweeter.
Buffalo Chicken Wings
5 lbs of fresh chicken wings
2 cups hot sauce
11/2 cups honey
4 tablespoons of butter
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
salt
pepper
olive oil
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Thoroughly rinse chicken wings in cold water and trim off any extra skin. Spray two or three aluminum baking pans with nonstick spray. Arrange chicken wings in a single layer in pans and
Teriyaki Chicken Wings
5 lbs of fresh chicken wings
1 cup of low sodium soy sauce
1 cup of pineapple juice
1 cup of brown sugar
1 tablespoon diced garlic
11/2 teaspoon ginger powder
salt
pepper
olive oil
red pepper flakes (optional)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Arrange chicken wings in disposable aluminum pans in a single layer and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven pour off any excess fat and brush lightly with olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 30 minutes. Remove from oven and pour off excess fat. Return to oven while making sauce. In medium saucepan warm 1 tablespoon olive oil and add diced garlic let cook for a minute to release flavor. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice and ginger and cook until ingredients are well mixed and have been simmering for at least 5 minutes. You can taste at this time and add any additional spices. Some people prefer more garlic or ginger. This is when I add about a teaspoon of red pepper flakes. Remove wings from oven and apply about half the sauce. Continue cooking for about an hour, check wings and baste them once or twice. If you find they're cooking too quickly lower heat slightly. Remove wings from oven and baste with remaining sauce. Return to oven and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Remove wings from oven and let them sit for a few minutes before serving. If serving as a meal I usually make a large pot of brown or white rice and steam vegetables. If serving as a snack or party food serve with fresh fruit and veggies and dip. Absolutely delicious!
These Chicken Wing Recipes are prefect for the Super Bowl or any time you want to enjoy some great wings!

Chicken Wing Recipe and Cooking Instructions?
What is a good recipe and cooking instructions for a dozen large chicken winglets? I'm thinking of using either old bay, cajun seasoning, or barbeque seasoning/sauce. Are there any specific ingredients I should use with the flavoring to make the wings crispy? I'm planning on cooking them in the oven and I'm up for any suggestions
