Try these easy chicken recipes to impress the family. Simple to prepare but tasty on the table!
1 cup rice
1 can cream of mushrooms soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of onion soup Rinse the chicken and pat dry. Arrange the chicken in a 9-inch baking dish. Combine the rice and soups in a small bowl, mix well. Spoon mixture over the chicken. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes. Serves 4. Carefree Chicken Casserole 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped
1 1/3 cups cooked rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup chicken broth
2/3 cup milk
teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
1 package frozen peas and carrots, thawed
cup shredded Cheddar cheese Cook the rice according to package directions. Combine the soup, broth, milk, salt, pepper and vegetables in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Simmer 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Pour half the vegetable mixture into a casserole dish. Layer chicken and rice on top. Spread the remaining mixture over the chicken. Sprinkle with the cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 22-25 minutes. Serves 6. Simple Homemade Chicken Soup 1 whole chicken (with skin and bones)
2 cups carrots, diced
1 onion, diced
3 medium potatoes, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1 can corn
1 tablespoon parsley
1 teaspoon thyme
salt and pepper to taste Place chicken in large soup pot and fill with water until chicken is covered. Bring to a boil on high heat and continue to boil for 30 minutes. Remove chicken from water (reserve water, this will be your broth) and let cool for 10 minutes. Remove skin from chicken and remove chicken meat from the bones, discarding the bones and skin. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and return to the pot of water. Add onion, celery and spices and return pot to a boil. When broth is boiling add corn, potatoes and carrots and boil until the carrots and potatoes are tender. Allow to cool for 8 minutes before serving.
